I am trying to weigh up whether or not to buy myself a top of the range camera and an sdxc card to take away with me when I go travelling.

I know it is going to be a liability taking such an expensive thing away, but I know I will get some amazing shots on it and I can insure it too.

My only other concern is how quickly technology changes. One minute the iPhone 4 is the new best thing and then a few months down the line your hear the iPhone 5 is coming out!

I suppose it is the risk you have to take when buying new technology – but it is a pain in the bum when you buy something and then the next week something better comes out!
